Unbeliveable: Hailie Deegan Says She Will Never Race With Sim Racing Again….
Hailie Deegan has had a difficult few weeks following her career-best Xfinity Series finish of 12th at Talladega. This includes the race at Darlington on May 11, where the AM Racing driver finished 36th following an early-race incident that the Fox cameras failed to capture.
The rookie driver felt strongly enough about what transpired shortly after the race to write her account of events on X, a platform she hasn’t commented on since February 23.
“I was on the top lane and the 07 (who was a lap down) doored me off turn 4 and it cut my LR tire before everyone jumps to conclusions,” Deegan stated. When my tire disintegrated, I managed to keep it out of the wall, but we were unable to continue without the door foam. It’s not my fault that there isn’t a replay.
The last line of Hailie Deegan’s phrase says it all: there is no rewind. Same as the first verse in the second.
The 22-year-old recalls the events of a few weeks prior as well as the final time the Xfinity cars were on the track, which was on April 27 during the Dover race.
“Oh, I apologize. Shortly after the event, Deegan said over the team radio, “I was trying to get up.”
“Yes, 10-4,” answered the spotter. “Let’s look at it over here.”
A few minutes later, she took responsibility once more.”I apologize for that,” she said. “I believed I could stand up quickly. was only partially done. I believe that I may have taken too long, causing the hole to seal.
Deegan Hailie Not Held Liable for JJ Yeley’s Crash
Although Hailie Deegan acknowledged blame for the incident over the team radio, fellow accident victim JJ Yeley offered an alternative account based on his observations. Interestingly, both in his post-race interview and on the team radio, he placed the blame for the incident on Dawson Cram rather than the AM Racing driver.
“I’m alright. Yeley exclaimed, “What a stupid move by the 4,” over the
The spotter answered, “Yeah, 10-4.” “Let’s look into it here.”
She took the responsibility once more a few minutes later.
She said, “I apologize for that.” I had assumed I could stand up quickly. was only partially completed. I believe the hole closed because I may have taken too long.
Hailie Deegan JJ Yeley Is Not to Blame for the Crash
JJ Yeley, who was also involved in the collision, gave an alternative account of events based on his observations, while Hailie Deegan accepted responsibility for what transpired over the team radio. Remarkably, in both his post-race interview and his early comments over the team radio, he placed the blame for the incident on Dawson Cram rather than the AM Racing driver.
“I’m doing OK. What a stupid action by the four,” Yeley said over the
“I started off following him. He was struggling to stay in his lane, the seasoned driver said. “He doesn’t have racetrack awareness. As a race car driver, he just doesn’t rely on his spotter to tell him where the cars are.
“It was obvious to him that she was at the fifteen. Once more, the race was still early, and she was sinking like a rock. Like he would try to push things in that direction. Remove a few racing cars. It’s not something he’s done before. He will eventually figure it out or someone else will have to do it for him.
