Forever In Our Heart: Race Woman Star Die In The Car Crash” ESPN REPORT On Her….

Hailie Deegan has had a couple of rough weeks following a career-best Xfinity Series finish of 12th at Talladega, including the May 11 race at Darlington, where the AM Racing driver finished 36th after being involved in an incident early in the final stage that the Fox cameras missed.

Soon after the race, the rookie driver felt confident enough on her version of events to broadcast it on X, a site she has not used since February 23.

“Before everyone jumps to conclusions, I was on the top lane and the 07 (who was a lap down) doored me off turn 4 and it cut my LR tire,” Deegan explained. “When my tire shredded, I kept it out of the wall, but without the door foam, we couldn’t keep going. It’s not my fault they don’t have a replay.

Hailie Deegan’s quote concludes with the words, “There is no replay.” The second verse is the same as the first.

The 22-year-old recalls what happened several weeks before to the April 27 Dover race, when Xfinity cars were last on track.

“Oh, I apologize. “I was trying to get up,” Deegan remarked over the team radio shortly after the incident occurred.

“Yeah, 10-4,” the spotter answered. “We’ll take a look at it here.”

Several minutes later, she again accepted responsibility. “Sorry about that,” she said. “I thought I could get up quickly. It was a half-up. I suppose I took too long, and the hole closed.”

While Hailie Deegan accepted responsibility for what occurred over the team radio, JJ Yeley, who was also involved in the collision, gave a different account based on what he witnessed. Interestingly, he blamed Dawson Cram, not the AM Racing driver, both on the team radio and in his post-race interview.

“I followed him from the beginning. “He was having trouble staying in his lane,” the senior driver noted. “He lacks racing awareness. As a race car driver, he simply cannot rely on his spotter to know where cars are located.

“He could obviously tell that she was at the 15. Again, we were early in the marathon, and she was descending like an anchor. As if he were trying to force the situation. Take out a few race cars. This isn’t his first time doing it. He’ll figure it out eventually, or someone else will have to.

There was a reason for the two drastically different versions of events at Dover, and those watching at home were confused about what happened. The Fox cameras completely missed it.

“Since there’s no replay, you can very clearly see me check-up when it became obvious the 15 thought she was clear and wasn’t,” the driver wrote on X. “Hate to see cars are torn up but that was a racing deal.”

Since there is no replay. Cram’s word choices feel familiar. Back-to-back Xfinity races, with two drivers complaining out that Fox missed a replay of an incident. It’s been an all-too-common theme this season.

The Xfinity Series will move to The CW in 2025. Fans and drivers alike cannot wait for it to arrive.
