ESPN REPORT: LaMelo Ball Announce His Departure After Insulting The Head Coach Charles Lee….

The play of rookie small forward Brandon Miller, who was chosen out of the University of Alabama last summer, was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise disappointing season for the Charlotte Hornets. After a disappointing summer league, some believed that Miller would not pan out at the NBA level as compared to his lottery projections; however, during the season, the Hornets rookie flashed impressive shooting, playmaking, and defense, and eventually finished the season at third place in the Rookie of the Year voting behind only Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder and winner Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, earning a nod to the All-Rookie first team.

Miller’s playing reminds me of Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George because of their similar size, quickness, and shooting touch. Miller has previously stated that George is his GOAT, or best of all time, which makes sense given that Miller grew up and fell in love with the game at the same time George was dominating with the Indiana Pacers.

Miller is now discussing his experience playing against and attempting to guard his idol during his rookie season in the NBA.

“I was locking him up early, and when I walked out, he just began trippin’. I’ve never seen someone make this many shots. “He just goes back and forth, coming off screens, 3’s, mid-range, step-back mid-range,” Miller explained on The Knuckleheads Podcast. “…It felt real; he caught a ball, and it was all ISO with him, so I was like, “Hey man, just chill bro, chill.”

George would wind up scoring 41 points on Miller’s head in that late-March game, but it didn’t stop the Clippers star from praising the Hornets youngster afterward.”It was fun. He’s got a lot of game, and he’ll be pretty excellent…I’m in his corner. I can’t wait to see him fully grow and become one.

As previously stated, Miller might be the lone bright spot on a Hornets team, especially given that point guard LaMelo Ball has already accumulated a lengthy injury history in his brief tenure with the franchise.

Moving forward, the Hornets are likely to regard Miller as a building element as they seek to regain competitiveness in the Eastern Conference, where they have not made the playoffs in eight years.
