ESPN REPORT: Razorbacks Basketball’ Key Man Jalen Graham Announce His Departure After He Querre With The Coach Even Insult Him Including His Family….
FAYETTEVILLE: Johnell Davis, a signee for the Arkansas men’s basketball team, has apparently decided not to enter the NBA Draft and will play his last collegiate season with the Razorbacks. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the story first.
The deadline for withdrawals was this Wednesday. The highly regarded Florida Atlantic transfer Davis turned down an invitation to G League Elite Camp and skipped the NBA Draft Combine in the past. In most mock drafts, his selection was not anticipated. According to Jonathan Givnoy of ESPN, Davis will check out with a few NBA teams before the withdrawal deadline.
One of the most highly-touted athletes in the NCAA transfer portal, Davis joins the Razorbacks. A vital member of FAU’s 2023 Final Four team, he averaged 18.2 points and 6.3 rebounds.
Next season, Johnell Davis will play collegiate hoops for Arkansas under coach John Calipari. The former FAU guard used the transfer portal at the beginning of April, and on Wednesday he formally removed his name from the NBA Draft pool.
After choosing to leave Boca Raton, Davis was regarded as the best backcourt player on the transfer portal by most people. During the Owls’ 2022–2023 run to the Final Four, the 6-foot-4 guard averaged 13.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 steals in 26 minutes per game. In 32.3 minutes last season, he averaged 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.4 steals.
