Three Star Announce A Departure Including LeBron James In….
The Los Angeles Lakers’ player option for the upcoming season is anticipated to be declined by LeBron James, meaning other teams may be able to sign him as a free agency soon. There has been constant speculation of one Eastern Conference team as a possible bidder for the four-time NBA MVP.
The Philadelphia 76ers, led by Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, are keen to add a third star player, as Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer stated on Sunday. One target that was mentioned was James. The Sixers are able to add a max player since they have over $60 million in salary cap space. But, they could have to use some of that cash to get Maxey to agree to an extension.
LeBron hasn’t really shown any signs that he plans to leave the Lakers. However, the scenario can get more complicated given that his son Bronny is about to enter the NBA. The 76ers are apparently one team that is eager to draft the younger James in order to make a run at LeBron, should he decide he wants to prioritize playing alongside Bronny.
Although they are keeping all of their options open, the 76ers are reportedly thinking that another player would be a perfect match for their existing squad.
