Congratulation: Detroit Lions Coach Dan Campbell Celebrat 49 Years Birthday Today You All Welcome….

Columnist Mike O’Hara of the Detroit Lions will be leaving his job on Monday. O’Hara announced his retirement last week, capping nearly 50 years of career in the industry. When he joined the Lions beat in 1977, he was employed as a “copy boy” at the Detroit News. He covered the Lions for the next 47 years, the last 12 of which he spent at DetroitLions.com. He was admitted to the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.

Lions coach Dan Campbell concluded his spring press conference with a tribute to O’Hara, citing her two years of Army service in addition to her dedication to the NFL beat writer trade.

“All of us in here just wanted to say thank you,” Campbell remarked. “I appreciate everything you’ve done, Mike. Man, it’s been an incredible career. Lions owner Sheila Hamp and team president Rod Wood also made rare media room visits to offer their congratulations to O’Hara.
