La voz del caballero de los Dodgers: Shohei Ohtani debe protegerse de daño….

A bat boy or ball boy making headlines is not something that happens very often, but Javier Herrera did just that. During the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game against the Chicago White Sox, Herrara, one of the team’s bat boys, was loitering close to Shohei Ohtani. Abruptly, Ohtani and Herrera were in the path of a line drive. Ohtani was spared when Herrera collected the wayward ball without even flinching. The video may have been viewed by you; it has become very popular on social media.

In a matter of hours, Herrera transformed from “just a bay boy” to THE bat boy. He deservedly received recognition for his astonishingly fast response to the ball hurtling toward them. Herrera was questioned over the viral event a few days later. According to Mike DiGiovanna, this is what he had to say about how it felt to achieve that.

“I’m not sure,” a reticent Herrera replied. “All I was doing was my job,”

Herrera, who has been with the team for eighteen years, responded, “I saw the pitch all the way through,” when asked about his swift reaction time. After it struck the bat, I was essentially found by the ball. I managed to seize it.

Herrera added that he was unaware of the incident’s viral nature until much later in the Dodgers game.

I saw it a hundred times, Herrera declared. It was quite remarkable. It impressed me. However, at the time, it was simply like, “Okay, let’s continue playing.”
