With her new league record for most games with a double-double in a single season, Angel Reese has cemented her position in WNBA history. In Sunday’s 70-62 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, the 22-year-old rookie for the Chicago Sky reached this milestone, her tenth straight game with double-digit points and rebounds.

In addition to grabbing 17 rebounds and scoring 10 points, Reese’s effort created a new record, beating Candace Parker’s previous mark of nine straight double-doubles during the 2015 Los Angeles Sparks season. Notably, in her eighth season, Parker reached this milestone at the age of 29, emphasizing Reese’s remarkable feat at the age of barely 22.

The 22-year-old posted on X, the former Twitter, retweeting ESPN’s article with the mysterious biblical caption, “Isaiah 54:17 🙏🏽.”

The verse reads, “No weapon formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn,” according to a quick internet search. In addition to her skill at dishing it out on and off the court, Angel Reese also shown subtlety.

With 10 points and 17 rebounds in a historic game, the former LSU standout broke Candace Parker’s record of nine straight double-doubles, which she had achieved in 2015 when playing for the Los Angeles Sparks.

In her ninth season, Parker reached this milestone at the age of 29, highlighting Reese’s incredible accomplishment at just 22 years old.
