There is less than a day left to cast a ballot in Phase 2 of the All….
In the second Phase 2 vote update for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard, Mookie Betts’ unexpected ascension, Juan Soto’s pursuit of a starting position alongside Aaron Judge, and tight contests at designated hitter in the American League and in the National League outfield are noted.
Voting for the starters of this year’s All-Star Game is still open for one more day. The Phase 2 finalist races will decide who starts in the starting lineups for the Midsummer Classic on July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington alongside Judge and Bryce Harper, who are the top Phase 1 vote-getters.
The MLB App, the MLB Ballpark App, all 30 club websites, MLB.com/vote, and mobile devices are the only places to access the All-Star Ballot. During Phase 2, fans are only allowed to vote once every day. The daily voting limit is reset at midnight ET.
In his pursuit of a fourth consecutive All-Star appearance, Guerrero (.297 AVG, 13 HR,.846 OPS) is maintaining his lead over Mountcastle (.273 AVG, 11 HR,.777 OPS). The Blue Jays slugger is the current Home drive Derby winner, but since his first hit in the All-Star Game in 2021—a huge home drive off Corbin Burnes—he hasn’t gotten a hit in the actual game.
With his advantage over Semien (.235 AVG, 11 HR,.683 OPS), Altuve (.304 AVG, 13 HR,.822 OPS) is getting closer to being selected as an All-Star starter for the sixth time and joining his ninth All-Star team overall. If the Rangers are to be represented in the starting lineup of the All-Star Game, two-time All-Star Semien, who is the only 2024 finalist from the reigning World Series champs, has some catching up to do.
