Unbelivable: Jazz Key Man Lauri Markkanen Make Bold Step To Sign Four Years Contract With Kings….

As trade negotiations continue in the aim of adding another player to Sacramento who is on par with an All-Star, a new name surfaced on Monday. Lauri Markkanen, a 7-foot forward who excels at scoring, grabbing rebounds, and spreading the floor, is a great player for the Utah Jazz. According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Kings are “strong possible suitors” for him.

Whether general manager of the Kings Monte McNair and deputy general manager Wes Wilcox can reach an agreement with Jazz CEO of basketball operations Danny Ainge is still up in the air. According to Fischer, Utah would probably want the Kings to include Keegan Murray in the deal, but since Markkanen only has one year left on his current contract, Sacramento might not be interested in that. Additionally, the Kings have been connected to trade negotiations involving forwards Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards and Brandon Ingram of the New Orleans Pelicans. Both Ingram and Markkanen were once All-Stars. The most team-friendly contract belongs to Ingram.

R egarding Utah, Fischer stated: “Apart from Golden State, two other teams identified by league insiders withawareness of the circumstances as serious contenders for Markkanen at this time are Sacramento and San Antonio. NBA sources believe that in order for the Kings to acquire Markkanen, the Jazz would need Sacramento to give up Keegan Murray, which would make other trade options—like Brandon Ingram—more appealing to the Kings.
