Breaking: Lions Engage In A 96.6 Million Blockbuster Deal To Land Most Wanted WR….

Though it shouldn’t come as a great surprise, the Lions are unlikely to sign a wide receiver before training camp, if at all during the preseason and regular season.

Broadly speaking, the Detroit Lions have uncertainty at wide receiver after Amon-Ra St. Brown. Jameson Williams has everything he needs to succeed right in front of him, but we have to see it. An offseason spent mastering the offense should be beneficial for Donovan Peoples-Jones. Hard to bet against, Kalif Raymond might be a surprising player in the mix.

This week, Jeff Risdon of Lions Wire put an end to the notion that the Lions will acquire a wide receiver (at least before camp) on the Detroit Lions Podcast. The discussion revolved around Jameson Williams and his evolving role.

“It’s evident that they are thrilled with him, which is why they aren’t targeting other wide receivers and won’t be adding any more,” Risdon remarked. “Agents have inquired. Detroit is not interested in adding any receivers at this time, according to an agent of a current free agent I know.”

Risdon made keen to point out that injuries or poor performance in training camp or preseason games may, of course, cause the situation to alter.
