New York Mets Set To Announce The Return Of Two Star As The Welcome…..
The Mets said that they have chosen Triple-A Syracuse right-hander Eric Orze for a contract. In exchange, fellow righty Ty Adcock has been optioned to Triple-A.
Adcock played in the Mets’ 14-2 loss to the Pirates Friday night, one of three relievers that saw action. Adcock had an especially difficult night, giving up six runs in his 1 2/3 innings of work. With today’s trade, New York gains an additional arm for their bullpen and puts 26-year-old Orze in position to make his Major League debut. Orze, who was selected by the Mets in the fifth round of the pandemic-shortened 2020 draft, had a difficult time getting into the pros after overcoming skin and testicular cancer in his college years.
