Former Tennessee Vol Dalton Knecht To Miss The Most Highiy Anticipated NBA Summer Legue Match….
There aren’t many NBA players on the Tennessee Volunteers’ Alumnus roster. Tobias Harris, who plays in the NBA right now, is the main star. However, there may be a new face of Vols basketball in the NBA, and he happens to be a player for what is maybe the most illustrious team in the league.
The Los Angeles Lakers selected Dalton Knecht with the 17th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, and he hasn’t wasted any time in establishing himself in NBA Summer League. Knecht finished the game against the Miami Heat on Wednesday with 20 points and 9 rebounds.
Knecht transferred from Northern California and spent just one season as a player with the Volunteers. He was a prolific scorer during his college career, averaging more than 20 points per game in his last two seasons. He currently shares a roster spot alongside Anthony Davis and Lebron James. Besides being in the same draft class as Bronny James, he will get a lot of attention throughout his rookie season.
During his one season in Knoxville, Knecht enjoyed a great season with the Tennessee Volunteers. Including a 40-point performance against the Alabama Crimson Tide, he averaged 21.7 points per game.
