Former Kansas Jayhawk basketball Star That leads Nets to Summer League victory” Is Back….

When Jalen Wilson was a Jayhawk, he was a favorite player of many KU Hoops fans in Lawrence. In addition to leading Kansas in PPG (20.1) and RPG (8.3) in the 2022–2023 campaign, he also played a significant role in the 2021–2022 winning squad.

Jalen Wilson was selected by the Brooklyn Nets with the 51st overall pick after finishing his senior year at Kansas. Last season, he made 43 appearances for them, including three starts. Eventually, the team extended his two-way contract by three years. He’s now making an impression in the 2024 Las Vegas Summer League, as he led Brooklyn to a thrilling 97-95 victory in their opening encounter.

The Nets were behind by as many as 13 points in the third quarter of their Friday night game against the Indiana Pacers, trailed by as many as 41 points at the half. But Jalen Wilson, who made four three-pointers in the fourth quarter, including a long 25-footer with fifteen seconds remaining in regulation, helped orchestrate a massive comeback in the second half. He scored four more points in overtime, all of them free throws, after his clutch shot sent the game into overtime.

In their Friday night game against the Indiana Pacers, the Nets fell down by as many as 13 points in the third quarter and as many as 41 points at the half. However, Jalen Wilson orchestrated a huge comeback in the second half, making four three-pointers in the fourth quarter, including a long 25-footer with fifteen seconds left in regulation. His clutch shot forced overtime, and he added four more points in the extra period, all from free throws.
