Miami Heat Head Coach Decided To Join Reveals Team Including Five Star
The Miami Heat have had a very quiet offseason, but general manager Andy Elisburg of the team says that was to be expected when they acquired Terry Rozier in January.
“We made the Terry [Rozier] move this year as a free agent,” Elisburg stated in a SiriusXM interview. “We simply chose to complete it early.”
The flexibility that would have resulted from Lowry’s contract being released was also given up by the Heat when they dealt Rozier to the Charlotte Hornets in January along with Lowry’s expiring $29.7 million contract and a first-round selection. Rather than let Lowry’s deal expire, they extended Rozier’s, giving him $24.9 million in 2025–2026 and $26.6 million in 2025–2026.
