Report Jaguars Close To Announce Four Year Deal With Top Players

In 2024, quarterback Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars will have a slightly different receiver option when he drops back to pass. One wide receiver that not many Jaguars supporters would anticipate is one of Lawrence’s favorites.

In 2023, Elijah Cooks became an undrafted free agent and signed with Jacksonville. According to Nevada Sports Net, Lawrence is thrilled to watch how Cooks develops as he gets ready for his second NFL season as a wide receiver.

“He didn’t have much expectations going into the previous year. In camp, he kind of blew us away. He was making every play and had a fantastic time at camp. Large receiver steps forward to catch the ball. You can’t teach that; you have to step up and get it. He is also able to run.

“I believe he’s done a fantastic job and has had a great year.” Obviously, he will have his work cut out for him in our congested receiver room. He’s got the right talent, and I have no doubt that he can succeed, contribute greatly, and produce a lot of plays for us. It excites me to watch him grow even more. He is really talented and has a fantastic skill set. He is able to assist us.
