Rest In Peace: Forever In Our Hearts” Mavericks Top Star That Play With Boston Celtics Dies In Car Crash….
The Mavs ultimately triumphed in their first Summer League game, and their 2023 first-round selection performed admirably.
The Boston Celtics were defeated 101-90 by the Dallas Mavericks on Friday afternoon, marking their first victory of the 2024 NBA Summer League. Not only did the Mavericks play without Brandon Williams, but the Celtics were also without some of their best players, including Neemias Queta and Jaden Springer. A.J. Lawson and Olivier-Maxence Prosper both had outstanding performances for the Mavericks while he was away.
Prosper scored 22 points on 8 of 14 shots from the field and added 4 assists in what was maybe his best performance of the Summer League. Lawson, who had 21 points and 4 rebounds, was closing the gap on Prosper. Prosper had a couple difficult games to begin the Summer League, but this is a crucial game for the Marquette University young forward to get back on track.
After losing to the Utah Jazz in a competitive game to open the Summer League, Dallas was easily defeated by the Miami Heat and Memphis Grizzlies. With the defeat, the Celtics fell to 2-2. Jaelen House, the son of former Celtic Eddie House, led the team in scoring with 18 points. With 15 points, their most recent first-round selection, Baylor Scheierman, wasn’t far behind.
The Mavericks will play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday at 10 p.m. CST, which is a short turnaround.
