Reste en paz: Un aspirante destacado para los Yankees fue asesinado por un árbol caído en New York.
After a tree in upstate New York fell on her car during a storm, the wife of an executive with the New York Yankees passed away.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Cathy Tusiani, 50, was traveling north on Route 128 in Armonk, New York, when she was involved in an accident, according to a statement from the North Castle Police Department.
Strong winds killed her when a tree fell upon her car less than a mile from her house.
The victim was the only one in the automobile at the time, according to the police.
Police could not identify the driver, but Tusiani—the wife of Michael J. Tusiani, senior vice president of partnerships for the Yankees—was later confirmed as the driver.
Following the tragedy, the baseball team released a statement on Thursday stating that they are sharing the “pain and grief” with Mr. Tusiani, the couple’s two children, Alexa and Julia, as well as their entire family.
The statement read, “Words cannot express the devastating impact that the sudden and tragic loss of Cathy Tusiani is causing within the Yankees family.”
