Around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Clifton police said they were called to Cunningham’s residence because a family member had not received a message from him. After forcing access, police “found him deceased,” a spokeswoman said.

Cunningham played offensive guard for the Giants, having previously played for the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals. He was a University of Cincinnati football player.
