The Detroit Lions added more depth to one of their strongest groups just as training camp was about to begin. The team revealed earlier today that they have added Ike Boettger, a seasoned offensive lineman. The deal’s terms aren’t public knowledge.

After placing offensive tackle Giovanni Manu, their No. 126 overall selection (fourth round) in this year’s draft, on the non-football injury (NFI) list, the Lions now have some depth in their lineup. Entering his seventh season in the NFL, Boettger played both guard and tackle while attending Iowa for his college education.
