Unbelivable: Lions QB Jared Goff Says He Is Not good enough to lead Lions to Super Bowl

To be clear, Jared Goff is not going to win Detroit’s most prized trophy by himself. He can be the quarterback, but that won’t be enough.

Matthew Stafford gave the Detroit Lions the continuity and stability at the quarterback position that they had never had before. Not in my lifetime, not in the lifetime of my father (born in 1960), and not for an NFL team that has existed since 1930 during the whole Super Bowl era. The names that come closest are Eric Hipple and Scott Mitchell, but both of them only made 57 starts for Detroit while Stafford made 165 starts for the Lions.
