The pitching staff has been a weak point for the Yankees lately, and general manager Brian Cashman appears to be doing everything in his power to solve it, including adding players who weren’t even pitchers before.

After being selected in the sixth round of the MLB draft, Brett Phillips started his career with the Houston Astros. However, he didn’t play in the major leagues until the 2017 season, when he joined the Milwaukee Brewers as an outfielder.
Since then, Phillips has enjoyed periods with the Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Angels, Tampa Bay Rays, Kansas City Royals, Baltimore Orioles, and now the Yankees, where he will, according to Nightengale, at least start his tenure in
