Report-Dodgers RHP Jordan Lyles Shock Dodgers Fans With Community Retirement Today….
The Los Angeles Dodgers strengthened their rotation by acquiring starting pitcher Jack Flaherty from the Detroit Tigers in the last moments of the trade deadline.
Shortly after the deal was announced, Flaherty’s mother shared a stunning old photo of her son on social media, showing him decked out in a whole Dodgers outfit.
Flaherty’s mother captioned the photo, “Circa 1997… Let’s Go!” and tagged her son and the Dodgers. In the picture, Flaherty, who was born in 1995, looks to be around two or three years old.
Flaherty attended Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles after attending Burbank, California, a suburb of the city. Flaherty will not only be playing for the side he supported as a child, but it will also be a homecoming for him.
With Clayton Kershaw making his season debut and Tyler Glasnow coming off the injured list last week, the Dodgers pitching rotation is gradually getting better, but they still need more arms. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is still out, Dustin May and Emmet Sheehan are out for the season, Walker Buheler experienced a setback in his rehabilitation, and James Paxton was traded to the Boston Red Sox.
