ESPN REPORT: Patriots WR DeMario Douglas Shock Patriots Community With Unexpected Retirement Today….
FOXBORO, Massachusetts — On Thursday, Day 7 of training camp, Matthew Judon was slated to be seen by New England Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo.
And Judon was there, for sure. Wearing his helmet and pads, he entered the practice field through a rear entrance. He participated in the team’s beginning phases.
Judon made headlines on Monday, but it appears he was not in the facility on Tuesday. After speaking with Mayo during the first padded session for New England, Judon left the field while sporting a cap. When he got back in his flip-flops, he and Patriots execs Eliot Wolf and Matt Groh had another lively talk.
Before Thursday’s practice at Gillette Stadium, Mayo informed the media that he had spoken with Judon. It was “great,” “good,” and “healthy,” according to him.
It was enjoyable. It was well, according to Mayo. And that’s precisely what it is—I constantly urge those guys to come in and talk to Eliot (Wolf) or me. And those events ought to take place inside the walls.
Regarding attendance, David Andrews, the starting center for the Patriots, has returned after missing two practices in a row. According to Andrew Callahan of The Boston Herald, Andrews was absent for personal reasons.
For the second practice in a row, DeMario Douglas was wearing a red no-contact jersey.
