Hearbreaking: Red Wings Star Player Suspended From All Sport Because Of Gambling

For the next two to three seasons, there will be a heated debate among Detroit Red Wings fans. A line is drawing itself in the sand, and eventually we have to choose a side.

Even before Timmy Howard announced his retirement, netminders in the National Hockey League (NHL) had a rough journey.

Yes, I am aware that his name is Jimmy—more precisely, James Howard III—but ever since his most recent postseason performance, I have called him Timmy.

Timmy was being abused by my father, sister, and me following a difficult game. In the meantime, my mother attempted to defend him by pleading with us to show Timmy Howard some kindness. Timmy’s nickname remained, much as hers, Full Throttle.

Then, Petr Mrázek, a promising young goalie, was traded to the Detroit Red Wings.

Following Timmy’s retirement and Mrázek’s transaction, there has been a constant turnover that hasn’t stopped.

Finding a top goaltender appears to be the most pressing issue facing the Detroit Red Wings organization, despite the fact that there are many unanswered questions.

Goaltending is considered to account for roughly 75% of victories but 100% of a team’s defeats. Basically, a goalie might be mostly responsible for a team’s success or primarily responsible for a team’s failure.
