Sad News: Browns Star Player Terminated His Contract After Quarrelling With Coach….
CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Browns have received a proposal from the city to refurbish their stadium in an effort to keep the NFL franchise in the city instead of having it relocate to a new dome in the Brook Park suburb.
The city of Cleveland submitted $461 million, of which $227 million would come from an increase in ticket prices. The team’s lease, which ends after the 2028 season, was also extended by 30 years by the city.By August 12th, the Browns must reply to Mayor Justin Bibb’s offer.
Bibb wrote to owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam, “We are unified in our belief that transforming the current facility is unquestionably in the best interests of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County.” “We don’t think any financial assistance from the government should be properly provided for the construction of a stadium outside of Cleveland.
“We’re excited to solidify the team’s future in the City of Cleveland here at home.”
