Report-Yankees Make Bold Step To Sign 386.6 Infielder On Blockbuster Trade

NEW YORK (AP) – In the 10th inning, DJ LeMahieu hit a game-winning single through a five-man infield, giving the New York Yankees a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday that was delayed by rain.

The Yankees won for the seventh time in eight games thanks to a tiebreaking home run by Juan Soto in the seventh and two hits by Gleyber Torres. After Baltimore’s 9–5 victory at Cleveland, New York and Baltimore were still tied atop the AL East.

“The victory was excellent,” manager Aaron Boone remarked.

In the second inning on Saturday, with the bases empty, Aaron Judge was deliberately walked three times by the bottom-of-the-standings Blue Jays.

Toronto manager John Schneider stated, “It’s nothing against my pitchers, our pitchers, or anything against anyone else in their lineup.” The main focus is on Aaron’s talent and his impressive performance, which has been achieved at an unprecedented rate. Thus, it is preferable that he swing less frequently.”

Bernie Williams of the Yankees was the last player to receive three intentional walks in a single game, back in September 1999 against Tampa Bay.
