Sad News Report: Two Browns Star Player Suspended From NFL Sport Because Of Gambling

Training camp on Monday brought an unexpected setback for Cleveland’s defense.

The Browns’ summertime struggles have been exacerbated by defensive end Za’Darius Smith, who was carted off the field in a cart after suffering a left knee injury during practice.

Smith appeared to harm himself during a red zone practice last season, after recording five and a half sacks in his rookie season with Cleveland. Smith became entangled with offensive line blockers as quarterback Deshaun Watson maneuvered.

Holding his left knee, he exited the field and was checked out by an athletic trainer. Seated in the front passenger seat of the cart being driven to the training facility, the 31-year-old Smith was visibly in discomfort.
