For Kentucky basketball, this has been one of the most exciting and painful offseasons in history.
Although most Kentucky fans felt John Calipari’s departure was in poor taste and unexpected, it appeared to have created a chance for fan base unification, which is just what recently hired Mark Pope has accomplished.
One of the first actions of the new “Kentucky guy” who took over the Cats was to make sure that prospect Travis Perry, who is from Kentucky, would stay at home and to trade Trent Noah, another recruit from the state.

Though it’s close, I believe Pope deserves an A because of the togetherness he and his staff have provided, as well as the limited timetable he faced.
