Jags beat Super Bowl champion Chiefs 26-13 in the
Florida’s Jacksonville (AP) — Parker Washington gave the longest return under the NFL’s new kickoff rules on Saturday night, a 73-yarder that broke ankles and set up an early touchdown. The Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, the two-time defending Super Bowl champions, 26-13 in a preseason game.
At least five tackles were missed by Washington before he was eventually tackled at the Chiefs’ 30-yard line. The two biggest moments of the game for the Jaguars came four plays later when Trevor Lawrence found running back Travis Etienne for a 9-yard touchdown.
After an 11-yard reception on the first play, Chiefs receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who signed a one-year, $7 million contract in March, landed awkwardly on his shoulder and did not return.
