Luton Town owners urged to invest in Rob Edwards’ side….
Owners of the Hatters, 2020 Holdings, have garnered a great deal of recognition for their part in the team’s spectacular ascent in recent years.
The team last participated in League Two in 2018, however they were promoted to the Premier League in 2023.
Luton only managed to stay in the top tier for a single year, but even so, they exceeded all expectations in terms of their resources in order to get there in the first place.
With their eyes set on an instant return to the majors, Rob Edwards will now be looking to lead the squad back to the first division this season.
Cannon has expressed gratitude for the efforts made by the present owners to improve Kenilworth Road.
He asserts that investment is still necessary to remain competitive, though, and feels that taking the next move is essential to preserving their strong position.
Cannon told Football League World, “Very few boards or owners in the EFL have the faith and loyalty that Luton fans give to ours.”
Specifically, [CEO] Gary Sweet and the improvements the board has made to the team since taking over.
“They managed to get them to the Premier League with one of the lowest budgets ever, and for that, I believe you can only be grateful and show respect.”
