A man was run over and killed by his vehicle after it became disabled on Monday in North Myrtle Beach. North Myrtle Beach Police and Fire departments responded to Sea Mountain Highway near Spring Street at 12:05 p.m. Monday in reference to a possible fatal collision involving a pedestrian, according to a release sent by North Myrtle Beach spokesperson Officer Pat Wilkinson. The investigation of the scene and witness statements determined that the man was operating a vehicle when it became disabled. He got out of the vehicle and walked to the front of the car, the release said. The car then began to move forward once again, running the man over. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
