Team USA gymnastics stars Suni Lee, Asher Hong shine in….

Sunisa “Suni” Lee of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Asher Hong of Plano, Texas, have qualified for the 2024 Olympic finals in Paris. In the team final on Monday, rising star Hong joined the American men’s team in their pursuit of gold. Lee, the first Hmong American Olympian and the current all-around gold medalist, will defend her title against colleague and all-time great Simone Biles.
Lee will compete against Biles: With a consistent performance in every event, 21-year-old Lee earned a 56.132 total score, which guaranteed her a spot in the individual finals for the uneven bars and balancing beam. The American women’s team, who won with the best team score of 172.296, will compete in the team final on Tuesday in hopes of winning a gold medal.

Asher Hong of Plano, Texas, and Sunisa “Suni” Lee of St. Paul, Minnesota, both qualified for the 2024 Olympic finals in Paris. As rising sensation Hong joined the American men’s team in their quest for gold in the team final on Monday, Lee—the first Hmong American Olympian and the current all-around gold medalist—will defend her title against teammate and all-time great Simone Biles.
Lee and Biles will square off: Lee, 21, placed first in the individual finals for the uneven bars and balancing beam after putting on a consistent performance in all events, totaling 56.132. On Tuesday, the women’s U.S. team, which won with the highest team score of 172.296, will compete for a gold medal in the team final.
