Breaking News: Sources: Bucks’ Middleton recovering from….

Khris Middleton, a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, underwent arthroscopic surgery on both of his ankles this summer, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

According to sources, Middleton underwent cleanup surgeries in relation to injuries he sustained during the season.

Three-time All-Star Middleton should be ready to go when the 2024–25 season begins.

In a game against the Phoenix Suns on February 6, Middleton landed on Kevin Durant’s foot after making a jump jumper, resulting in a damaged left ankle. Middleton’s injury, which he described as the worst ankle sprain of his career, kept him out of action for the following sixteen games. Shortly after Milwaukee’s season concluded in May, he had surgery on it.

During Game 2 of the Bucks’ first-round playoff loss to the Indiana Pacers, the right ankle injury happened. Despite being unable to practice during the playoffs due to the injury, he persevered and managed to lead Milwaukee in the series despite Giannis Antetokounmpo’s injury, averaging 24.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. In June, he had surgery on it.

Bucks coach Doc Rivers stated, “[Middleton] was injured, you know, through the playoffs,” on Tuesday during a broadcast of the team’s summer league game. “And just kept playing since, well, nobody else was.” He had a great game. We’re lucky because he had surgery in the summer and will be well for camp’s start.”

Due to several nagging ailments, Middleton, who turns 33 next month, has only played in 88 games during the regular season in the previous two years. He had a sprained knee in April 2022 during the Bucks’ first-round playoff series, and in the 2022 offseason, he underwent wrist surgery.

He underwent right knee surgery in the summer of 2023 and spent the majority of that time under stringent minute restrictions.
