“To add to the heartbreak, the unprompted racially driven attacks on social media are wrong and extremely hurtful,” – Gymnast Jordan Chiles claims that after losing her bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, she experienced racial harassment on the internet.

Chiles began her post on the social networking platform X with the words, “I am overwhelmed by the love I have received over the past few days.”

“As I was enjoying my Olympic victory, I received the heartbreaking news that my bronze medal had been taken away. I trusted USAG’s appeal since they provided solid proof that my score complied with all regulations. This appeal was not successful. I am at a loss for words. This choice feels unfair and is a huge setback for everyone who has supported my journey, not just for me.”

Chiles then discussed the attacks she claimed to have experienced on social media.
