Breaking: Cautious Rams ‘want to be smart’ with QB Stafford….
California’s Thousand Oaks — Due to hamstring stiffness, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford only participated in individual exercises at practice on Monday. Coach Sean McVay stated that the team “wanted to be smart with him” and skipped team activities.
Stafford might not be able to make it through the entire practice on Tuesday, according to McVay, but Los Angeles “will progress him as the week goes.” The Rams will warm up at their facility on Tuesday and play the Texans in Houston on Thursday.
McVay stated, “[We] wanted to be smart with him.” “It didn’t seem worth it if there was any kind of abrupt movement that caused him to stumble. He is in excellent health.”
McVay stated on Monday that he is “not concerned” about Stafford.
