Love and the Heat have reached an agreement on a two-year, $8 million contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Love decided on Saturday to forego his $4 million option for the 2024–25 campaign. Love, 35, has spent the last two seasons as a player in Miami. Last season, he averaged eight points per game and was a vital role player off the bench.

Love won an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and has been selected to the All-Star team five times.
