Sad News: Pigeon Forge Rod Run Company Cars Has Been Attack By On No….
WVLT, Pigeon ForgeEverybody knows that there is usually bumper to bumper traffic on the parkway. The city of Pigeon Forge is developing a strategy to lessen traffic jams.
Every year, over 50,000 vehicles jam Pigeon Forge’s Parkway.
Pigeon Forge resident Evelyn Holbert remarked, “I have watched this town go from a two-lane road to what we call now the big city.”
The westside link gives municipal officials a means of dispersing traffic jams. Its goal is to move people from the north to the south without requiring them to travel over the parkway. Between Pine Mountain Road and West Mill Creek Road, two new roads will be constructed.
The link, according to Assistant City Manager Eric Brackins of Pigeon Forge, will merely facilitate transportation from point A to point B.
“The ability for people to get around town and have another alternate route to get around Pigeon Forge is what has allowed the council and city manager to focus on completing the road here over the last five years,” Brackins said.
Phase one completion is targeted by city developers for fall of next year.

The link will only assist tourists in getting from point A to point B, according to Assistant City Manager Eric Brackins of Pigeon Forge.
According to Brackins, “the council and city manager here became focused on finishing the road in the last five years simply because of traffic and the ability for people to get around town and have another alternate route to get around Pigeon Forge.” Phase one completion is the goal of city developers for next fall.
Having spent her whole childhood in Pigeon Forge, Evelyn Holbert is excited about the new route.
Naturally, Veterans Blvd. must be relieved on one side of the parkway, and this new extension on the other would just serve to highlight and provide even greater relief for that side.
