Report Cowboys Closing Secret Deal To Sign Steelers MVP In A Blockbuster Trade

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the next team in our X-factor series. The Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys have played each other in a number of historic regular season games. For instance, in a thrilling game at Heinz Field in 2016, then-rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott pulled off a thrilling 35-30 comeback victory. At even higher stakes, the Cowboys have a 1-2 record against the Steelers in the Super Bowls, with the most recent victory being the Cowboys’ fifth Super Bowl triumph.

Since then, the Cowboys have been surpassed by the Steelers, who won their sixth Super Bowl in 2009. The Steelers, under head coach Mike Tomlin, have been a picture of consistency. Tomlin has never finished a season with a losing record in his 17 years with the Pittsburgh Penguins. After bringing in players like Joey Porter, Hines Ward, Big Ben Roethlisberger, Troy Polamalu, and T.J. Watt, Tomlin now brings in T.J. Watt, George Pickens, and even Joey Porter Jr. Even though they are reliable, the Steelers depend on a select group of players to perform, and if they are unanticipated or undervalued, they might become X-factors that the Cowboys have to contend with in Week 5 of the regular season.
