Robby McCrorie, a goalkeeper for Rangers, has joined Kilmarnock for an undisclosed sum.

The 26-year-old ends a 12-year history with the Ibrox club by signing a two-year contract with the team.

The Ayrshire boy has Premiership experience after spending two seasons on loan at Livingston in 2020 and 2021. However, the move didn’t exactly go as planned, as the Covid pandemic ended his first stay and the stopper was benched during his second spell.

After that, he signed a three-year contract with the Ibrox club, although his playing time was limited. He only made seven appearances, two of which came in wins over Celtic.

Derek McInnes made the transfer as Will Dennis, the team’s top scorer from the previous campaign, seems to be a part of Bournemouth’s ambitions after a productive loan at Rugby Park.

McCrorie will compete with Kieran O’Hara for the starting position this season and might make his debut in tomorrow night’s friendly against Ayr United at Somerset Park.
