After the Dane’s appointment in June, it’s the first opportunity for Norwich supporters to witness the team under the direction of new head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup.

The unplanned pitch maintenance work resulted in the Canaries having to postpone a match against Stevenage, which was scheduled to kick off their preseason schedule earlier this week.

Last season, Northampton came in at number fourteen in League One, sixteen points clear of both the relegation zone and the play-off berths.

At the halfway point of the season, they were hovering around the top six, but a mere three victories in the last 12 games eliminated them from contention.

They have welcomed Tom Eaves and former Canary Cameron McGeehan into their ranks thus far this summer.
