The 26-year-old has a 4-1 record, a 0.81 ERA, and 29 saves in 32 chances this season.
Clase made his third straight appearance as an All-Star and added another save to his resume.
Clase entered the game to seal the 5-3 victory for the American League over the National League. Clase got the Reds’ Elly De La Cruz grounded out, the Mets’ Pete Alonso struck out, Padres’ Jackson Merrill singled off Clase, but the closer ended the game by striking out Pirates’
