Los Boston Red Sox enfrentan a los Los Angeles Dodgers, líderes de la Liga Nacional del Este, en un partido de tres juegos después de perder…
The Boston Red Sox play the National League West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers in a three-game series to begin the second half of their 2024 campaign on Friday.
After defeating the Kansas City Royals twice in a row heading into the MLB All-Star break, Boston was guaranteed a postseason spot, the last American League wild-card spot, prior to the Midsummer Classic. While the division-leading Baltimore Orioles and second-place New York Yankees have struggled to hold onto their respective places, the Red Sox have won seven of their previous ten games. Boston is currently 4 1/2 games back from the top of the AL East.
Superstars Tanner Houck and Jarren Duran, who won the Ted Williams MVP Award, are back with the team after playing in the AL’s 5-3 triumph over the NL in Texas. During the All-Star Game, both Red Sox players appeared, but Duran’s game-winning two-run home run was the one that gave the quick outfielder MVP award.
Nick Pivetta, a right-hander, will start for Boston against the Dodgers. He is making a comeback after giving up four earned runs in six and a half innings on July 10 against the Oakland Athletics.
