Brandon Williams, a forward with the Charlotte Hornets, recently concluded his first NBA season. For the former Alabama Crimson Tide player, it was undoubtedly a remarkable experience, but from a team standpoint, the Hornets only won 21 games in all, which was six fewer than their previous season’s total.
The Hornets’ decline was largely caused by injury. LaMelo Ball, for starters, only appeared in 22 games following an ankle injury that required season-ending surgery.
Mark Williams, a big guy, played in just 19 games. Due to the injuries, which hampered the growth of a young squad and made the season seem finished before it even started, veterans were traded before of the 2024 trade deadline, sending players like Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward to other teams.
