Tragic: Two of the Philadelphia 76ers’ best players perish in a plane crash.
In an automobile accident on Thursday in Portland, Oregon, former Philadelphia 76ers power forward Drew Gordon passed away.
According to ESPN, the Denver Nuggets, who play for his younger brother Aaron Gordon, and his agent Calvin Andrews both confirmed the tragedy.
Gordon, 33, participated in collegiate athletics at UCLA and New Mexico. The 6-foot-9, 245-pound player started his professional career abroad after going undrafted in 2012. In 2014, he was a member of the Delaware 87s and the 76ers for nine games. During the seasons of 2022 and 2023, he last performed in Japan.
It was reported that he was married to Angela and has two small sons, Zane and Brody.
