(AP) — SOUTHWEST RANCHES, FL Vontae Davis, a former cornerback for the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts, was discovered dead in his South Florida home on Monday, although authorities do not suspect foul play.

When Davie, a Fort Lauderdale suburb, police arrived at Davis’ residence on Monday morning, they discovered that the 35-year-old had passed away. The autopsy results have not been revealed, nor has the cause of death. The inquiry is still ongoing, according to a statement from the police.

After being selected by the Dolphins with the 25th overall pick in 2009 out of Illinois, Davis spent ten seasons playing in the NFL.
