Warriors Key Man Klay Thompson Rejects 286.4 To Mavericks After….
The Golden State Warriors have been one of the best teams in the NBA for the last ten years. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green were the team’s key players. They shared many memorable experiences and triumphed together. But the team was officially done when Thompson left the Warriors this offseason to sign with the Dallas Mavericks. On the “Club 520” podcast, Draymond Green recently shared his opinions over Klay Thompson’s departure from the Warriors. Green admitted that he was relieved that Thompson was leaving, even though he wasn’t as happy as he once was. Green thought Thompson was prudent to relocate to Dallas and that he needed a new team.
The Warriors management rejected Thompson’s request for a large contract and failed to provide him with what he desired. Thompson chose to depart because he thought the Warriors’ management negotiations had insulted him. Later, Thompson agreed to a $50 million, three-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks.
Despite the fact that Thompson has only ever played for one team, it will be fantastic to see him don a new shirt. In Dallas, he’ll have Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic as his formidable backcourt. The Mavericks’ style of play will undoubtedly complement Thompson’s. Buddy Hield, the Warriors’ excellent shooting substitute for Thompson, is another asset to the team.
