Report-Bengals Make A Bold Step To Sign 6 Times Super Bowl In A Blockbuster Trade
Cincinnati — Tee Higgins wants to make the most of his remaining season with the Cincinnati Bengals, should he have one left.
The 25-year-old receiver stated he felt it would be best to sign his franchise tender, perform admirably in front of the public, and give it one more go at winning a Super Bowl with the 2020 draft team he was selected by.
“I just feel like I’m a piece of the puzzle that can help us get there,” Higgins remarked. “You know, we’ve been close the past few years.” “I’m looking forward to doing what I came in with: winning one with my guys.”
Higgins was left with the franchise tag, which keeps him in Cincinnati for the season before he becomes a free agent, after he was unable to come to an agreement on a long-term contract with the Bengals. The designated franchise pay for receivers is $21.8 million, which is more than double what he made combined in his first four seasons in the NFL.
This week, Higgins stated, “I talked back and forth a lot with my agent about what I wanted to do.” The Bengals were obviously just tagging me and not doing anything else.
