I Am Leaving: Detroit Lions Star Player Michael Badgley Accept A Deal Of $186 Million To Leave…..
Michael Badgley, the kicker for the Detroit Lions, sustained a serious injury on Thursday and will miss the whole 2024 campaign as a result.
Badgley hurt himself “getting ready for practice,” according to Lions head coach Dan Campbell, who informed media on Friday that the player will have surgery. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Badgley sustained a torn hamstring.
Last season, Badgley was a member of the Lions practice squad. Following Riley Patterson, the kicker for Detroit, missing two extra points in three games, the 28-year-old was activated in December.
In four regular-season games with the Lions, Badgley was 4/4 on field goal attempts and 11/13 on extra point attempts. Throughout the postseason, he continued to be the team’s kicker and made all three of his field goals, including a 54-yarder that helped Detroit defeat the Los Angeles Rams 24-23 in the Wild Card round. In the postseason, Badgley also made all 11 of his extra point attempts.
