ESPN REPORT: Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker Shock Chiefs Community With Unexpected Retirement Today….
Undoubtedly, the Kansas City Chiefs have experienced a noteworthy offseason. Of course, a few players were involved in legal troubles. Rashee Rice, a wide receiver, was hurt in many high-speed auto accidents. The victims have filed a case against him, which is now pending. After Isaiah Buggs made two arrests of his own, including one for domestic abuse, the team released him.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce, gained notoriety for her numerous flights to see her while she was on her Eras Tour in Europe. Naturally, this carried on the tale of their romance, which was a hot topic among NFL supporters the previous season.
Butker made some contentious remarks about a few socially vulnerable groups during his speech at Benedictine College. Many were particularly incensed by his remarks on women and his conviction that being a homemaker is the ultimate calling for them.
He did, however, also say things disparaging the LBGTQ+ community:
“I’m sure the AP writers were unable to predict that their attempt to criticize and shame individuals and organizations like Benedictine would be greeted with pride and excitement rather than hostility. The genuine God-centered pride that works with the Holy Ghost to exalt him, not the deadly sin kind of pride that has a whole month devoted to it.
Despite making sure the world is aware that Butker’s opinions do not align with their own, Butker’s Chiefs teammates have supported him during the criticism he has gotten for his remarks.
